Description
STHAMEX MARINE 3% F-20 is a fluorine-free firefighting foam concentrate by Dr. Sthamer, specifically developed as a drop-in replacement for fluoroprotein and AFFF foam agents in marine environments, including deck foam systems.
Designed for combating fires involving non-polar liquids using both low- and high-expansion foam, it meets IMO MSC.1/Circ. 1312 and ICAO Level B requirements for use with seawater. Its low viscosity allows use with standard proportioners and dosing systems down to operating temperatures as low as -20°C, making it a straightforward replacement for existing fluorine-based systems.
Approved for use on vessel decks, in engine rooms, enclosed spaces, and on helidecks (MED B & D, IMO 1312/670, ICAO B), and recommended for tankers, drilling platforms, and offshore rigs. The concentrate forms an extremely stable, vapor-tight foam blanket, making it highly effective as a low-expansion agent on non-polar liquid fires.
