This model is designed for liferafts from 6 up to 150 persons. Extended life-time to 30 months liferafts with extended service interval. English top label. Supplied in a box with step-by-step mounting instruction for the liferaft container. The HRU needs no annual service, maintenance or spare parts. You simply install a new one every 30 months and dispose of the old one.
The white strong rope of the HRU is secured to the deck or liferaft cradle and attached to the raft with a slip hook. If the ship sinks, the water pressure will, within 4 meters, activate the sharp knife, which cuts the rope and the liferaft will float free. As the ship sinks, the liferaft painter line will be stretched and the liferafts start to inflate.
