Rescue boat release hook 15kN
The 15KN is a rescue boat release hook for davit-launched rescue boats. The hook meets the latest SOLAS standards, LSA code res MSC.48(66) and IMO resolution MSC.81(70), as amended to date. Maximum work load = 15 kN. Manufactured in seawater resistant stainless steel. Pushing the release handle to the upward position releases the rescue boat.
The hook needs an annual service and after 5 years it needs to be overhauled or replaced.
